It's from a Pittsburgh Restaurant

Why are you unemployed at a time when Pittsburgh restaurants are desperate to hire employees. Our policy is not to hire people who are not currently working at another job.
When they answer their own question immediately after asking it.
"Why are you a lazy piece of shit who should beg me for mercy because I am better than you because I am rich?"
Reminds me of the time someone tried to ask me this sort of shit during a phone interview
I just went "It's obvious you're just on a power trip and I am not looking to be disrespected, best of luck finding someone who is" and hung up
jeez poor guy had to halt six straight years of partying off of appropriated labor, sucks to suck
I found an article on him, he tried to start a restaurant called ”Shooters” in Pattaya (with a name like that, he was probably overestimating the amount of Amerikkkan boomers in Thailand), then had to come back to the restaurant he originally founded. Must be nice to be rich and always fall upwards.
Our policy is that small business owners should be put in the pit. Why should we change our policy to not put you in the small business owner pit? Please write a 5-page response and include a video of your response in the form of interpretative dance.
imagine not lying your ass off to some bozo like that. assuming you're in dire enough circumstances to need the job.
I would tell this asshole I worked at the White House and had training in the highest standards where I received commendations for 10 years of service. And I only left and moved back to do my part in elevating the community with hard work and grit.
then, when his back is turned clonk em with a honing rod and rob his ass blind.
If you ever want a job at these types of places you need to let it shine through that youre hardworking and desperate, aka easily exploitable. A gig at the white house on your resume would be an instant disqualification.
did I say I wanted a job there? I want to clonk him, take his wallet and bank deposit bag.
the white house story is to make him pull out his phone and try to confirm some particularly outrageous claims in my story ("They posted a photo of me on the home page to honor me for my service.")
that's clonkin' time.
you're probably thinking, how are you going to do this, because the you've only filled out a form online and he's reading it later.
how indeed! please send $50 to Cashapp M0n3yRiddLer2024 to learn the secrets of high tech robbery.
I think they're saying that you won't even be able to get close enough to do a clonking if you don't come across as desperate.
I found a YouTube link in your comment. Here are links to the same video on alternative frontends that protect your privacy:
Seems like a boss who respects real go-getters, so I'd hand deliver my application. Taped to the backside of a brick.
You ever manage at a restaurant? STFU. These are all legit questions for that industrial demographic. What’s wrong, you just get fired from your last serving job😂?
If you have an issue with this questions then you really need some introspection. Who cares? Do you want the job or not? They're easy questions to answer.
Capitalism maintains a permanent "reserve army" of unemployed as a potential source of scabs, but then will also blame the unemployed for not being employed, as if capitalism was ever a system that advocated for 100% employment (it wasn't).
This is why everyone should just lie on these types of applications. If everyone lies the sheer amount of bullshit these types will have to sift through will be punishment enough
For whatever reason, the people who go out of their way to defend this stuff (you'll find several in the comments of that xcancel link) always piss me off more than the people who actually do these things.
Because I understand, why people do these things (to solidify their power over employees), but people who defend this are literally fucking over themselves and other workers for absolutely nothing.
such and obvious stupid power trip
why? cuz youve probably got a few people working there who just lied and are doing fine lol had their friend answer the phone
Who doesn't like on applications lol. I worked for a place a year and then was unemployed for a year? Actually I worked there for 2 years.
Oh, my resume is full of lies. It's ironically for capitalism's own good that we all lie on resumes.
Employers are some of the most perfectionist nutjobs I can think of. I have plenty in my rural ohio hometown. I tried to wash dishes once and got turned away because "Sorry kiddo, I only hire world-class talent, and you haven't worked before!" Perfectionism is literally a CIA sabotage tactic, yet employer entitlement is so high they voluntarily do it to themselves.
How to guarantee you'll get the worst possible food service workers you can get. Any cook or server worth their shit would walk away immediately
Procedurally generating thousands of real looking resumes/applications then submitting them all.
why are you unemployed when Pittsburgh restaurants are desperate to hire
SHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT UP ...SHUT UP... SHUT UP... SHUT UUUUUUUP
Why are you unemployed when Pittsburgh restaurants are desperate to hire
Because all of you keep telling me "no" when I need a job, that's why.
Same shit here. Applying at jobs I'm legitimately qualified for and able-bodied enough to do, then getting ghosted, rejected by automated email after 1-7 days, or maybe given an interview and then rejected 3-5 days after that. Some places I have 5 or 6 applications at over a period of a few years, all rejected before an interview without explanation. If I didn't already have major chronic depression before starting adult life, I sure as fuck would've after being forced into the capitalist labor market.
Hey, that's me. I'm a mid-twenties stereotypical neckbeard manchild that's trying to undo all the fuckups I did in life, and it's so hard because I am actually applying to places but businesses are just that picky.
It doesn't help that my family has a history of being a big naysayer for me, something I think I have absorbed because I assume I will fail at every task I try.
There was a year or two of relief for job seekers in the wake of the COVID19 half-measures where higher-ups had their HR departments unclench their worthless assholes just enough to give someone a chance at actually getting hired. It was, in my lived experience, much easier to get favorable responses to applications and then 'pass' interviews in 2020 and 2021 than at any other point in my life, including right now. Your suspicions are correct, businesses are absolutely back to cherrypicking applicants, it's like trying to get hired during the 2008-2009 peak of recession again.
