Show is basically about imperialism, and the vibes of waiting for the end of the world. So far so good. Don't watch ep 0 tho because it's a flash-forward that kinda spoils a lot of things, imo ep 1 is a better start to the story.
Ah ep 1. of the anime is the start of the manga, ep 0. of the anime adapts some later chapters for some reason
