I'm heading out tonight to see it. Someone near the Colorado-Wyoming border was able to see the more intense colours with the naked eye and photograph with this quality using only a phone on night mode with a 3 second exposure time. For comparison's sake, during the last big solar storm this year the aurora wasn't visible to the naked eye and required a 30 minute exposure for the same quality image.
