Accidental masto mini-novel on the strengths of OCaml vs. Rust; I’d love to hear others’ thoughts

@ELLIOTTCABLE@kolektiva.social I really like your point about "people use #OCaml to get stuff _done_ and it shows." That's been my experience in interactions. You have a strong theoretical bent and a lot of math (a lot a lot of math) in the edges, but it has never felt particularly _purist_ or siloed: the pragmatic emphasis permeates interactions I've had about it and my own experience reading about it.
