I have no problem with both real and anime. Real are way more impressive (there are some image I'm sure they must be real, like for real 👀 ) But I really don't care, so I'm team let's keep the way it work now ^^.
Realistic and anime shpuld both be in the same community. Splitting is just going to cause problems. Maybe flairs or something.
Yeah I agree. Maybe change your mind if Lemmy explodes, but for now keep it centralized
Something I wish we could see in the description of the creations being posted is the prompt, which model was used, and some of the general settings like iterations to help others who are struggling to get their generated pictures to look realistic.
While I generally agree, there is some "artistry" in making prompts that work and figuring out all of the tricks to get better results. My own prompts have gotten a lot more interesting with custom checkpoint merging and dynamic and region prompting; these all took time to learn. I think posting the prompt/sources should be optional and people should request it if they want it, perhaps in a private message.
I understand that "AI prompter" is becoming a job for some people at some companies and I can now start to see why. As you try to generate more realistic and interesting images, you have to know more about how stable diffusion and the many extensions work. It goes pretty deep—I feel like I am only scratching the surface.
And so we have the part I was worried about. This is becoming a “my secret formula” instead of sharing and helping others get better and share in the interest of creation. Personally I disagree with you on the premise that we should be helping others get better. Just sharing the prompts and the model used isn’t the ticket to the kingdom, but it does help people start to shape their own prompts.
For instance, using less iterations (15) sometimes gets a better result than using more (50). Didn’t know this until I saw someone who shared their experience. But that doesn’t give me the secret to make exactly the same images as them.
I'd think that, logically, any porn produced via SD or other AI derivatives would qualify here - anime, realistic, etc.
it's been interesting so far seeing some of the art produced, lol especially the unattached body parts ones where the render screws up
I’d be willing to help moderate and have some experience with image based AI, though not AGI nor generative AI. I’d love to learn more and am motivated to do so.
Hi, I would be pretty interested in becoming a moderator. I moderated a relatively large discord server before, but never a reddit or lemmy community, so maybe there are better suited mod candidates. Just in case you are wondering: I just created this account, to keep my main account seperated from this one, in case i actually become a mod. Other than that, i just wanted to say that I appreciate the work you are doing for us, so thanks :)
I think realistic and drawn styles should be separate. Also I don't think it should be called anime lol. I get that a lot of people do anime but I think lumping all drawn styles is fine, at least for now.
This is why "keeping it centralized" is not really practical; people who make posts that get downvoted are going to find different communities. People have different preferences, which is the whole point of a community-oriented system like Lemmy.
+1 for Categorized.
Given how easy it is to create lemmy communities and throw content at them, why not aim for being organized? Have clearly defined communities waiting for the content to pour into them: Human-drawn Hentai, AI Hentai, Photos from porn into categories, AI generated porn fetish by fetish, etc… Nobody is yucking anyone's yum, and everyone can sub or block what they want or don't.
This "mixing" debate is happening in every medium. Should AI generated content be mixed in indiscriminately, or should we welcome it but into it's own channels? AI art with hand-crafted human art? AI poetry with human poetry? Someday they'll be indistinguishable, but until then, let's let each member choose.
Does lemmy support labels (yet)? On reddit that helped having all at one place while filtering for personal preference. I think this would be ideal to prevent many small (thus mostly inactive) communities, although they mostly share a lot and only differ in details.
Just checking to see if this is a ship without a captain at the helm or if any of the mods are still active. It seems the community owner hasn’t been active in 5 months, one mod in 3 months and the other seems to pop in once a week. If this is the case I’d like to put my name forward for taking over control of the community to ensure it’s ongoing growth and survival as having the most prominent pornographic AI gen community with no active leadership seems like a waste. Appreciated.
The issue of moderating and running this community still hadn't been resolved.
I would volunteer to be a mod. Wont spend every hour of the day on here, but I am on pretty often. I kinda think the anime stuff should be in its own sub, unless theres a way to sort by tag that I dont know of. And how many people are actually going to properly tag their stuff? I dont mind most of the anime, but Im here for the realistic posts.
I agree with the anime versus realistic stuff. I think posts should have maybe a "realistic" "anime" "artistic" or other tag. These should be defined.

Hey, yes I am still active occasionally. But you are right, none of the mods are super active anymore. So yeah, if you want to I gladly make you a mod :)
Hey, I like this community and would love to become a mod as well, if there are still any open positions :)
Should realistic generations and Anime-style generations be on the same community?
For the time being, sure, why not. It's a volume question.
If I have to scroll to page 2 to find new content and it's obviously getting in the way of other stuff, a separate community may be in order.
Hi everyone!
First, thanks for your moderating so far Triple! I think you've done a great job so far.
I've also wondered this question about Hentai vs Realistic. I was unsure when I posted the first realistic post if this was the right community for it, or if it was just for hentai. Personally I don't mind if they are mixed (since I think both are cool), but I am willing to move elsewhere if that's what the community wants. For instance, we already have an AIGen Futa Porn community, so there is some precedent for having multiple communities here.
I would prefer them separate, because - as I am not deeply familiar with anime/anime-like styles and any age indicator they might have (breast size does not count) - I cannot tell when the subject is supposed to be underage (and even if they are, sometimes it's up for interpretation). I have a much better chance of guessing correctly with the realistic style. I desperately want to believe that every artist is always drawing 18+ (assuming USA), but that is left up to the thin blue line, not the artist's intention, and that is NOT a line I want to end up on the wrong side of.
I'm actually quite confused as to why it's even being separated from "real" porn. Why not just tag it as [AI] and dump it into the appropriate category for the picture content.
I can't tell the difference without paying close attention much of the time anyways.
I'm OK with Anime/Realistic being in the same community. AI generated smut is AI generated smut ;)
