The former minister has said she wants answers about why she was denied a peerage before she quits.
His feelings on this don't seem to extend to "doing anything about it", such as withdrawing the whip...
I wonder if he even could. Say he does it, and then the local conservative group select her, or worse, all quit the party. He could be faced with an even more heinous defeat than his losing face not dealing with her.
