When I see the new generation radicalizing due to the ongoing climate catastrophe
It's just unfortunate that in many places they're radicalizing towards the right. Eg. here in Finland the under 25's are more conservative than older generations, and in our parliamentary election earlier this year over 30% of them voted for an extremist right wing party
Hello from Bavaria. Same here. Kids are voting the way their parents do. That is…not so good. This notion that the right is now somehow anti establishment is already entrenched. It’s pretty insane
Agree. Something is definitely wrong with the communication strategy of progressist parties, but if you dare to make some remark about it you get blasted (I did) because of course they are never wrong, it's people's fault if they don't understand them.
The right loves its soundbites, and the left, appealing to reason and fact, just doesn't have the soundbites. Soundbites can win elections. I just wish more people understood the basic principles of conservatism and how it's counter-productive to literally everything in society.
The fact that younger people prefer conservatism is indeed notable since it's the same idea that basically will condemn them to serve older generations forever (see what happened to the '80 generation for example who are in their 40s but still on entry level jobs).
I agree with you but I was also suggesting that there's something wrong in how this is conveyed/communicated externally. Assuming it's reasonable to think in one way and frowning upon anyone who disagrees as if they were morons or delusional doesn't help either.

Which is why many abusers deliberately seek those positions of power in the first place, and why having a position of authority is never enough on its own (or shouldn't be) to deem someone trustworthy or safe (if anything, they deserve more scrutiny).
Yeah no, fuck this new generation, they were seen as the new hope for 10 years and then the best thing they could come up with was social network addiction and uncanceling Osama bin laden
