I need to specify that I only use brave when a website doesn't work correctly with Firefox, but to this day in my phone I have only use it once.
Can anyone explain to me why anyone would want a dual OS? It seems rather odd to me.. its like someone wanting 2 web browsers for different purposes.
I never understood the appeal. Don't they replace ads on websites or something to that effect?
Brave claims to be so anti-data mining yet they share stuff with Google. Ok at least a couple years ago when I read about the tests done that showed this, as well as some articles on an affiliation they have with Google.
I haven’t used Brave since then. It’s Firefox for me only.
Since Google crippled AdBlock I've switched back to firefox. Funny to think about considering I've used Firefox when it was called firebird. I should probably donate to Mozilla at some point 🤔
You can disable the ads completely, or choose to get ads from brave to earn crypto. I did earn some good change for the time i kept them on, but its not really worth it.
The main reason is that i have 2 different sets of bookmarks. I know there is probably a smarter way to do it but opening a different browser is simple enough, and i got used to it. Also I'm lazy to switch between college and personal gmail account, easier to just open the browser for the specific purpose. And my tabs will remain open on the college browser so i can continue the work.
I don't really use bookmarks on my phone, so there i just have one browser.
