Letter of Appreciation to Lemmy Moderators [META]
Hello everyone. Let's take a second to appreciate some unseen workers here, huh?
Even though we're all newbies as we are, most of the Fediverse has solidarity here, including Lemmy and kBin. And a crushing majority is set to never tolerate toxicity. Same with anything without transparency.
You made this happen, we did, all our admins did, together. And hopefully it will become the norm and the culture. We've all seen how much time some people dedicated here, to make actual communities happen, and to keep them safe from bad actors. Thank you to all the admins, to our breathtaking moderators at c/nostupidquestions, thank you to every community that partnered with one another, and thank you to everyone who supported them!
Remember: don't let the stress get to you. You can always consolidate ideas with one another or with us, and make it a friendly experience rather than a stressful one. Keep your IRL habits healthy, and never place this over your mental health. You come first, and your job and friends come first. And I hope you take care.

Agreed. I know that many moderators around here have never modded before, and no doubt some admins have not dealt with growth on this scale. Good job y'all!

Heck yeah! Super Shout-out to Ruud and the team he has assembled! The man is a partner and a parent and has a full-time job, and still makes time to organize the maintaining and trouble shooting of this instance!! And then he sits down and writes lengthy posts explaining exactly what went wrong, what the team tried, and what was finally able to work. That transparency is so wonderful! I sure hope you all are throwing a few bucks per month their way!

Very well said, it must have not been easy at all with the huge and sudden influx of people, but everyone did (and is still doing) a fantastic job in keeping lemmy a beautiful place to be.
