@lemmy.world- Lemmy.world is not loading, and I am encountering an error when opening a new page.
Please start by checking the following links to see if Lemmy.world is experiencing any issues:
- I am experiencing an issue with the client I'm using.
Are you using a client other than the website itself? Is the issue specific to that client? If so, please contact the developer of the app or web client you are using.
Here are some popular apps/web clients you can reach out to:
- I am unable to create a community, and I keep seeing a spinning circle.
Please check if the desired community name is available.
- There is a community I want to moderate, but the moderators appear to be inactive.
Please email us at info@lemmy.world or create a post in this community.
- Did we defederate, or did someone else defederate from us?
Visit https://gui.fediseer.com/instances/detail/lemmy.world for information about defederation of any instance.
Alternatively check https://defed.xyz/ and enter "lemmy.world" to view a complete list of defederations.
- I cannot access my account.
For assistance with account access issues, please email us at info@lemmy.world. We cannot assist with these matters in the comments section due to privacy concerns.
- Why am I banned from this specific community?
Lemmy offers transparency, and you can check the modlog of the community to understand the reason behind the ban. If you have further questions, feel free to send a private message to one of the moderators. If you have other issues, please email us at info@lemmy.world.
- Can this feature be added to the website?
If you would like to request a feature to be added to Lemmy, please contact the Lemmy developers on GitHub or reach out to the developer of your preferred (web) client. Instances like ours cannot directly add features to the website.
you will ignore celebration of terrorism as long as it is arabs or brown kids getting mamed. fucking reddit.world
Since a few weeks ago, Lemmy.world will always log me out when I leave it, and I cannot find a "stay logged-in" tick-box anywhere in the settings. Is this a bug or a feature or perhaps a "me-problem"?
Happens with Firefox and Vivaldi on Linux, if that matters. Emptying cache/cookies did not help. Mobile app is fine.
Thanks for any hint!
ETA, thanks to @Rooki@lemmy.world, there is a temporary workaround to this:
I could set the lemmy.world cookie to βlaxβ using a cookie manager extension. Now it seems to work, both with F5 and when I leave Firefox.
Hello, I was wondering if I could be added as a moderator to the Fallout New Vegas community. The only original mod, Lukjam, appears to have been inactive for the past year. I tried to reach out to them directly through DMs two weeks ago, but I have not heard back. I really want to make sure this community keeps going, but I think that will be difficult if there are no active moderators. Let me know if there is anything you need from me.

old.lemmy.world has been very slow all day and is now 503'ing continuously, lemmy instance health doesn't seem to cover old.lemmy.world, only the main instance, which seems to be working fine.
The link to https://browse.feddit.de/ is dead and should be updated to https://lemmyverse.net/communities.
Personally i think it would even make sense to link this from the main site sidebar. Not because it is a problem finding communities on other instances from within world, at least this should be the best instance to be able to, but as a function of being a "role model" for other instances.
I'm not sure if this is a Lemmy issue, an instance issue or a Jerboa issue but occasionally when I hit the button to reply specifically to the main post and make a top-level comment, it instead replies to one of the already existing top level comments.
I don't know how long this has been happening; I only just now noticed it wasn't me accidentally clicking the wrong reply button when it happened twice in a row and I was making absolute sure I hit the right button the second time.
I've recently noticed that downvotes don't stick for the community Greentext@sh.itjust.works.
Bug or design choice? Is there a work around? My account is with lemmy.world - do I need to log into a different instance to have full downvote capability?
SOLVED - they banned me for downvoting their fascist frogs
