Hello everyone,
Today I created two communities as an alternative to r/collapse and related subreddits.
Climate Crisis, Biosphere & Societal Collapse - Collapse-related news & discussion
and
Faster Than Expected - Collapse-related memes and other silly stuff.I would be delighted to have like-minded users join and add to the discourse there. As an RRR (recent Reddit refugee), I need a place to discuss the continuing medley of crises that we are currently experiencing. Everyone is welcome. Please keep discussion civil and respect one another.
https://lemmy.ca/c/wowthislemmyexists - etwas Cooles gefunden?
Similar in purpose to this one: finding the right community for you (but with no commentary on how active they are)

Exiting to see so much new traffic in Lemmy the past few days.
While I don't think recreating Reddit in the Fediverse is necessarily a good idea, there were a few subs that really helped me discover new content. I looked, and didn't see anything directly comparable, so I created two new communities:
https://lemmy.ca/c/lemmy411 - yep - can't find what you're looking for (or perhaps what instance it might be on?) ask here.
https://lemmy.ca/c/wowthislemmyexists - find something cool? post about it here for others to discover as well.
(this will be cross-posted to a few other places like other instance main communities as well)

I do enjoy watching a bit of sportsball. You know the thing where fans of red guys and fans of blue guys chirp and bantz at each other about which colour is the losers and which colour owns, and you hurl insults at the refs for making a call even if it was probably correct.
So what are the biggest sports communities are on lemmy? And/or are there any instances that have more sports than others?
Considering the size of lemmy, I'm not even in the mood to be picky about which sport it is. I just want to tell someone else on lemmy that their team sucks.
cross-posted from: https://lemmy.ca/post/610275 I figured if the Lemmy Admins don't know a thing then it ain't worth knowing.
