@schmalls
@lemmy.worldEpisode 1 was the standout for me. The rest had some good acting but overall the stories not as good as previous seasons. Still better than most stuff out there but we expect more.
A completely supernatural horror. No twist that it was just in her head and the world didn't end.
But the demon did make a phone call kind of like to tech support for the device. Maybe it is just a sufficiently advanced technology.
Oh man, have you seen these idiotic videos of people wondering how the mirror "knows" something is there since it has something between it and the mirror.
Well I was definitely surprised with where this episode went. It was like watching From Dusk Till Dawn for the first time with no idea what the movie was about.
This was somewhat similar to the Toy Box Killer. For some real life creepy, you can listen to the tape he played for his victims (warning NSFW).
Maybe because he believed that she said those things about him. Or maybe because he wanted him to know what it is like to lose everything.
The acting in great. The violence and gore is mostly off screen and we just see the reaction to it. The ending - will they just continue to work together because the only way they get back home is if they work together? I imagine this is a PR nightmare for the people in charge of the mission 😄.
Another thing that just struck me is this is another one with a good/happy ending. As long as you don't care about the "people" created inside the quantum computer that is.
This one did not really have any technology as the horror. It was somewhat predictable. I really wish Pia had been able to keep her cool and survive.
