Link works for me, but here's the original article. Movie is called The Day the Crown Cried.
Agreed, the latter half especially felt like most of the storylines should have extended into another season. It seemed very clear in the last episode that they weren't sure they were getting renewed, and wanted to wrap things up nicely, just in case.
Suits. Started out as a fluffy case-of-the-week show, devolved into a melodrama with characters that completely lost their original charms.
Thanks, I'll check those out. Not sure they're as comfy as I'm looking for for bedtime, but I won't say no to more horror!
Glad you enjoyed them!
Agreed, new season was great. It seemed shorter, I thought, (although the run time was the same as previous seasons), but maybe that's because I binged it.
Discovered the trailer was up last night. Excited for the new season!
If you've already listened to the series and want more, there are additional audio drama stories (sorry for the fandom link) in the same universe. The standalones and Mythos are on the soundcloud of the writer, Julian Simpson, and the Aldritch Kemp stories are on BBC Sounds as part of Limelight (you'll have to scroll through to find it).
I saw the movie first, then read the book after hearing it was different/maybe better, since aside from the bear, I found the movie fairly whelming. I ended up really enjoying the book, particularly the dream-like style. Authority, however, I found... really slow. I was intrigued by the premise, and the reveals were interesting, but the pacing was just glacial, imo, and it did away with what I'd liked about Annihilation. I did start Acceptance afterward, but was sort of over it at that point, and never finished it.
