Hey this happens to me! Something in my ear just twitches for only a second or two and I hear a vibrating sound. It happens randomly and doesn't seem to be triggered by anything. It's also pretty rare. Maybe a couple times a month. I never thought that it sounded like thunder though and so didn't make the connection. This sounds (Haha. See what I did there?) like the most plausible explanation yet.
Aren't magazine names here case-sensitive? Did you try searching for /m/Autism instead?
It's my understanding that "reputation points" isn't fully implemented yet and means nothing right now. I can't point to a source for this. Something I read somewhere that I've forgotten.
This actually happened to me a couple of years ago. This woman came into my office and after we were finished with business, she said something like "I have two tickets to the baseball game. Would you like to come with me?" And I was like "No thanks. I don't like baseball very much." then turned away and started working on something else.
After she left, everyone in my office said "OMG she just asked you out!" I didn't get that at all and totally missed it. Besides, I'm married.
Working IT: The entire family thinks I'll always be happy and eager to fix all of their computer problems for them.
Being an electrical engineer: People think I'm an electrician.
Hi! I was never a Reddit user, but heard about this place after Reddit blew up a few days ago and got interested in checking it out.
I'm in Colorado, an electrical engineer but working an IT job. Ham radio operator. Electronics tinkerer. I enjoy reading and watching sci-fi. And, believe it or not, I collect engineering and math textbooks.
