Outraged, but unable to change this because Starfleet won’t allow him to alter the officially licensed hardware, Scotty pretends this computer doesn’t exist, in the hopes of it one day breaking down so badly Starfleet will let him replace it with something he made himself.
He's already replaced it, but has to keep the HW and remain proficient with it, in case Starfleet shows up for an inspection and he has to swap back to using it
Something else to think about.. IVF is expensive, so often only done by well-educated adults who have enough disposable income to go through with the procedure. This would result in well-fed, educated, healthy children, who we all know will be more likely to vote progressive, not join the military, not end up in the prison system etc. He doesn't just want babies, he wants poor babies.
Throw in S-210, which could likely support face tracking tech for age verification, also handled by a third party. I thought Nineteen Eighty-Four was supposed to be a cautionary tale, not a playbook...

Interesting that a British prison colony has become at least (if not more) civilized than their jailers...
I'm a test automation developer, I'm not necessarily bound by the platform that the application is written in unless I'm writing white-box tests.
Web testing is also done in python. Selenium has support in all major Python test frameworks. I've done SE-only tests in Robot, hybrid SE/Python using BDD with Behave, etc.
Unless I'm testing a language-specific API, I'm probably going to use Python...
When we go on long trips, we routinely stop every 1.5-2h for a pee break and/or food, and that usually takes 20-30 minutes. Most times we don't need gas, but if we had an EV, it wouldn't really impact our road trip itinerary much if we could plug in during those stops. What would be nice maybe is if there could be highway stops with outdoor picnic areas as well as chargers.
Your salary pays your bills everyday of the year except the first of the month. How odd. That’s only 12 days per year. Nothing to worry about.
The Ontario NDP mandated 12 days a year unpaid leave for certain government workers to avoid layoffs, and that single act has prevented them from taking office for the last 30+ years. Not really a comment on 12 days missed pay, or how EV range can be a problem in a minority of situations, more of how the public can be whipped up into a disproportionate response to a minor inconvenience endured by a relatively tiny group of people.
