@Fornax
@lemmy.worldI sometimes use it for monster infighting, zombies, mi-gos, triffids, mutants and fungaloids are fun to watch in a death match, maybe even spy on enemies to avoid line of sight, but I find it easier to just read the log and/or minimap, so I just reuse those keys for more useful actions such as toggle run, activating items, bionics, mutant or modded abilities, etc.
Speaking of which, it's really annoying that you can't unbind movement keybindings even if you use arrow keys since if you do so they won't work at all, not even in the menus (I had to reinstall the game and launcher because of it once, lost all my saved options and keybindings)
I'm assuming this is like chiropteran blood feeding mutations but worse. Is your diet only blood like classic vampires or is it negligible?
I just get a bike, skateboard, or small vehicle such as a modified golf cart, a pike or knife spear (if it takes too long I get a normal fire hardened stick), a light armor such as riot armor and kevlar vest, and optionally sojutsu (by asking for it to the guard as reward for 100 cigs). It's quite funny seeing how you can ride a bike while twisting your torso 180° to attack with a 2 meter long stick. You'll hardly ever be hit, but it's quite stamina draining, so taking breaks is mandatory, and bat zombies, fart zombies, and flesh raptors can kinda screw the strat but by the time they become annoying you should have enough combat skills and tools to deal with them easily.
Yeah, power armors are complicated, Huge limitations and dependences, but they basically turn you into a moving mountain. Unless they changed it, last time I used one was some time ago.
1: spawn and get out of the shelter
2: there are two flaming eyes right next to the shelter
3: die
There are lots of sources to study how mutagen works, but many are hard to find. While you can mutate nilly-willy as long as you wait, I recommend you check out these links.
Personal advice: install alloy plating bionics so that you don't become a furry and are able to wear clothes normally. Nothing beats a good ol' power parmor.
