@Advent
@ttrpg.networkNo worries and thank you so much, I'm glad that I can help! I look forward to seeing you around, have a wonderful week!!!
Thank you! Well, the short of it is that depending on the tier you sign up for, you'll be able to download a certain amount of previously released One-Shots or Adventures every month. All the files are hosted on google drive, so when a patron requests access I can approve them! That prevents the issue you're talking about! You can find the finer details in my Index and FAQ
There is a way to access all the content though, I just recently added yearly memberships, and anyone who becomes a yearly legend will get 2 months free, unlock everything I've ever made, and all upcoming content for the next year along with 6 exclusive fully prepped One-Shots that are being released Bi-Monthly!
Hope that answers all your questions, If you're curious about anything else just let me know!
Thanks for your kind words, I've got some fantastic news for you too! Here's the entirety of Phandalin Prepped
I actually have the whole thing prepped on my Patreon!
Cheers!
Of course, for an absolute beginner, I would say start with a One-Shot to really get a feel for things, and if you like it along with your players. The easiest one would be A Most Potent Brew, it's only 2-3hrs and has all the hallmarks of D&D!
If after that you decide you love DMing then Dragon's of Stormwreck isle is an easy mini-campaign to go for; it'll take you from level 1-3. If you want to step it up, then The Lost Mine of Phandelver is probably the better one but lasts a bit longer from levels 1-5.
That's amazing to hear! Ya DMing feels like another job in and of itself sometimes, so glad I could help. If you get the chance to use my notes let me know how your session goes, I'd love to hear anything you think I could improve, tips from experienced DMs are always appreciated!
Thank you! Ya, not gonna lie it is haha I wouldn't be able to do it without my Patrons. Even crazier is that I'm starting work on Fully Prepping the entirety of Curse of Strahd next! Wish me luck!
You're so very welcome! That's exactly why I wanted to create Advent's Amazing Advice, being a DM can be a ton of work and just feel overwhelming, but I hope with this you can just sit back relax and enjoy some Amazing games!!! If you get the chance to use my notes please let me know how it goes!
Very true on both ends! Hey once they get more experience, there are some really challenging things they can try! I recommend The Egg of Estyr for the sheer awesomeness, but if you want really challenging combat then anything from Heliana's Guide to Monster Hunting is solid, I've got Shadow of the Broodmother prepped just like this as well as The Reign of Iron!
Thank you! That was exactly my idea when creating this; I remember when I first started how overwhelmed I was trying to figure everything out!
Thanks so much, I really appreciate that! Welcome to the Amazing world of DMing, I'm sure you'll do a great job! I would love to hear how your session goes when you finally get a chance to run one!!!
