You mean the gold chests and the pirate ? They're show as pictures (take the whole screen width and on top of each other) in liftoff. Will try on the other apps and report.
I tried on wefwef, control and jerboa. In All of them, the emotes are way too big (consided as pictures ) in jerboa they're small enough for the gold chests to appear next to each others but still way bigger than an emoji (if it's the supposed size). So it must be a phone thing. How are they supposed to look ?

If anyone reading this can do it, please do. If we want the lemmy apps to improve we need to help the devs by telling them about bugs. They're users like you and me and they'd be happy to fix the bugs if it means a better experience for the user.
