The 500-mile Camino de Santiago has inspired a host of new treks in places from Canada to Bhutan that let travelers take the slow route. Here, a guide to the new trails.

I've heard of the Camino de Santiago and was intrigued to see there are a lot more long walks around the world.

Has anyone here ever done this. I'm intrigued by the logistics of a trip like this, especially since the article describes trekkers only carry what they need for each day. Are there porters to take your things to each nights stop? Or do you wear the same clothes every day so you don't have extra bags and carry everything you'll need for the entire trip?
