The Teamsters’ refusal to endorse Kamala Harris underlines the need for the labor movement to develop a coherent political appeal to win its members over, on terms that are relevant to the vast majority of the working class.
Party leadership knows Trump is bad for them, so they will not support him.
Rank and file appear to have more Trump supporters than Harris (or Biden prior to the switch.)
Therefore the teamsters feel that they're screwed if they endorse either one.
The article is worth a read.
My general impression of blue collar union workers is that they are some of the dumbest, most ineffectual and short-sighted organisms to be given the title of "sentient." It's really no surprise to me
