@lemmy.caNormal statistical distribution will most likely point to varying degrees and levels of care for those practices, and regardless where anyone sits on that distribution graph, all those points of views are perfectly okay to have.
Edit: people really hate the reality of stats and math huh. So much for pushing science forward.
I'm not in the US, but one of the issues I have with medical insurance is that, say you need medication, the doctor will provide you with a prescription, requiring a specific brand due to the efficacy compared to other brands. The insurance providers would reject claims for the prescribed brand, and suggest an inferior brand that doctors warned to avoid.
This happened to my older folks, and is baffling why insurances feel the need to override a doctor's recommendations.
I just roll with all 3 🤷
My personal top 3:
They go by Vaccine Hunters. I don't think they are active anymore but you can find their history here: https://vaccinehunters.ca/about
Canadian governmental entities (at all levels) aren't known for their innovative thinking. Throughout the pandemic, regardless of your position on vaccines, the main fact that it was a group of volunteers in a discord channel that were responsible for the information shows the archaic state of digital communication in Canada. Frankly embarrassing by global comparison.
Given how much of his investment has gone into creating LMG, Floatplane, etc, I can certainly see that happening. Even the most level headed person in the world will have a point in which a switch in their minds would flip.
I know a few people who were never the same after the dot-com crash, and most recently with the crypto crash. Such a loss (whether of their own making or external impact) will cause even the most sane person to be delusional and senile.
I'm willing to put money that if LMG goes to the ground, we will see a person potentially beyond repair, possibly with a destroyed family, given that it's both him and his wife as the primary investors. I really hope their kids come out unaffected.
It's just sad all around.
You seem to lean on a number of mis-assumptions to drive your rage-driven response. As such you prove my point exactly.
I said due process. You equate that to a legal context and legal system. I never referenced the legal system because I know full well the shortcomings of a justice system. They are not designed to seek truth but to right the wronged. The legal system is flawed.
I don't know how to respond to the remainder of your post, because again, they are made based on assumptions of things that I did not even reference in my comments. Rape victims and abusers? Linus and James in chains?
Literally all I was advocating for is that I personally prefer to follow through a process before passing judgement. If you really want to know my position on the matter, you can read my comment history, instead of making assumptions on a single comment. This is exactly what I mean by emotional response, and is no different than Linus' outburst.
Edit: it seems from your comment history you've also misconstrued other people's comments. It may be good to take a step back and look at things objectively, or risk repeating the exact same mistake Linus made. To quote you: do better.
