@peskywarrior
@lemmy.worldDidn't forget the ability to uninstall pre-installed apps without compromising security and locking you out of updates (you need to modify the system image which affects SIP and also doesn't allow you to use FileVault disk encryption once disabled)...
Custom build of (rooted post-buildtime) GrapheneOS.
I understand all the reasons not to root GrapheneOS but I enjoy the control and options over my device that I'd otherwise not have if it wasn't for rooting
I miss BB10 (maybe the physical device more than the OS lol) dearly! That's pretty neat to know both interfaces were derived from the same source, I knew I noticed a lot of similarities!
A version of QNX (made by Blackberry) is in my Volkswagen. It's quick, noninvasive, and still works well despite my removal of the 4G comm box that connected it to the Internet. I'd truly miss QNX if it disappeared.
Lol they won't let me change my email address.
The email account has been closed for 6 months now and the bank account/debit card they want me to verify my payment with has been closed for years
Really neat stuff, hopefully I'll be able to switch as soon as Thunderbolt/USB-C displays are sorted out (I primarily use my Mac with the lid closed)
I just started cleaning things up when I saw this. Probably going to try and make a build without microg and using sandboxed play services now: https://grapheneos.org/releases#2023123000
Ha sounds good I'll clean up the scripts as much as I can this weekend and make the repo public. I'll update this post when it's done.
Edit: maybe next week, forgot it's Christmas!
Personally I've been writing/using my own docker container to help and (eventually) just build it for me, but I'm not finished and it's the first project of it's kind I've worked on.
I'd make the repository public (it's on GitHub) I just didn't think anybody wanted or cared
My own build of GrapheneOS with MicroG that allows Android Auto.
I'm not fully degoogled (I still use Maps and Tasks), but I'm closer...
