Same. Just finished organizing 8000 flacs the hard way which may not be a lot, but it sure felt like it.. lol
Says the guys that reduced piracy to a fraction of its former self before getting too greedy. Piracy wasn't affecting them, but it's a side effect of what they have become.
This is my stance too and what I try to do. I also tend to buy used where I can to save money, but I really like having the physical copy in back up.
I'm not sure if it's close to the same thing, but I use Max Richter's Sleep album. I did take out a couple of songs for my playlist I thought were too perky, but he worked with sleep scientist or what have you to make an album that induced and maintained sleep. His concert for it was literally a bunch of people sleeping. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL0VMUYmhGI3Oqfb0V7X5R2EXoFkrJXOIj
They also had keyboards that worked well and there was even real competition for on-screen keyboards until Google bought out and dissolved the best keyboard because they really want your ducking typing data.
Not me. I set up my server last November and tried Plex. It reminded me too much of too many services starting to lose their way. Given recent events it looks like I was right. We use Kodi because my partner prefers it, but I really like Jellyfin myself. It was a learning process but really only took two or three hours with research time to set up. Costs me nothing and I don't have any ads, upselling, or any other BS that will eventually turn into more extreme attrition.
They've gotten great at this war of attrition. They know if they make changes incrementally people wouldn't accept all at once then most people won't notice or care. That's why I through that trash and two firesshits out in the garbage where they belonged when they started with "related" ads and app store ads.
