i think it should be anonymized as well so that no PII is associated with your online ids even though they are verified
i love the idea of mini pc too but i really want to be sure that they are:
generally i don't think they need to be very powerful for my self hosting needs

i still scroll through both but i engage with way more posts on Lemmy now almost everyday

oddly enough i think the internet would have to behave in a federated way
content would need to be cached in connected areas and we would need to optimize use of the satellite connections to propagate content between federated islands
