@ddtfrog
@lemm.eeStardew valley is passing my expectations tenfold. I thought it was just a farming simulator with terraria combat but nooo. I find myself genuinely wanting to make meaningful relationships with the townsfolk and not wanting to “min max best strat” like I normally do with videogames
Same, I used to think the “you may kiss the bride” was a seed being planted via mouth.
So I wasn’t that far off ¯\(ツ)/¯
Im at 11 years, and yeah 80-90% of my Reddit was from Apollo/Alienblue anytime i picked up my phone I would habitually click the app. Now, Wefwef/Voyager sits in the app location where they used to and Lemmy when im on my phone.
10-20% of the time on Reddit was on my computer and I frequent SWE / SysAdmin / DataScience subs to pass time or for help at work looking at bugs as I work as a SWE.
This was me up until 12th grade / freshman year of college. My degree (Computer Science) doesnt "need a degree" (albeit it helps) but I will never regret going to college. Sure, i couldve bootcamped or did online learning but the social development I experienced in college I completely 180º, I figured I would fake it and put myself in uncomfortable positions and made for some really awkward moments haha. But eventually I turned it around and pretty social now I would say.
It’s sad, 10-15 years ago it was as simple as Adblock :/
Now it’s nearly unavoidable and/or requires quite a few changes to your native device to make it more secure
