Are those graphs accurate? The modern one seems right, but I have no idea about pre-revolution France
Politics are about simple issues. Do we want to solve homelessness? Give people homes. Do we want to solve poverty? Give people money. Should we or shouldn't we support an ongoing genocide? Geez, I'm not a fucking brain genius, someone find an ethics professor.
The only complicated thing is getting people to understand this and act on it.
Of course, but in this specific case, we're talking about something that could literally mean rich people pay more money for the same thing.
Q: What did Marie Curie say to Albert Einstein?
A: At speeds approaching c, I still have one more Nobel prize than you
If this were just "it costs more to be rich" I'd be all for it, but more likely it's just about jacking up prices based on other factors. So it'll probably hit poor people, too, by charging more for things they want more, forcing them to give up other stuff they want less.
The song goes "Pinky and the Brain, one is a genius, the other's insane", which, if it implies anything, implies Pinky is the genius and Brain is the insane one
I got so much concern trolling for saying Biden was bad and should step down. People accused me of wanting fascism. They insisted I was naive and we should be standing behind Biden.
I just want to say to those people: you were wrong. Dumping Biden has wildly hurt Trump's chances, and you were the ones arguing against it.
