@ZeroCarbon
@lemmy.worldI appreciate Jerboa being open source but even before the issue with reddit.world I had constant crashes while reading and it didn't make a pleasant experience. My intention was never to talk on behalf of Jerboa users but to give my personal opinion. In fact, Jerboa gave me a pretty good first impression but after trying other options I do prefer the alternatives.
Considering that you can also use Amap and Meituan in WeChat, the new list would be:
Coming from RIF this is my personal ranking:
wefweb.app. Very clean design, works well and smooth experience. Overall the best implementation so far.
Connect/Lift (tied). Both are solid, I prefer connect sidebar and options but I prefer the design of the posts and comments on Lift. When the comments stack in Connect it looks awful IMO.
Jerboa. As a first option it was good but after so many timeouts, other design issues and multiple errors I kinda gave up on the app. After its polished I'll give it another try.
I use to like Jerboa, but after several timeouts, not differentiating between instances, and multiple errors I gave others a try. I downloaded wefwef.app and I've been liking it so far. I think I'll be using it until a polished native version comes out.
Revanced or Revanced extended is the new thing. It's really great, no more shorts, no ads, no in-video ads (thanks sponsorblock). Shit's fire
