Morrowind is the reason I’m in the game industry and has impacted my life more than any other single piece of media. It’s been heartbreaking for me to see the treatment Elder Scrolls has gotten. I was so excited for Skyrim it was the only game I’ve ever preordered, it’s the reason I originally got a Steam account, and the whole game is a let down start to finish.
I feel pretty much the same as you about those games, which makes me very curious what your opinion of Oblivion is. I've recently had a bit of a (belated) revelation about it, so I'm interested in other opinions and discussion.
I'm going to misuse my stupid whenever and however I want, and there ain't a damn thing you can do to stop me!
I get that, but at the same time I don't. I mean, it doesn't make sense to me. Expecting endless debate and also expecting correct conclusions to be reached seems contradictory, since once conclusions are reached, debate would cease. This is one of those things that make me feel very uncertain, like when you finish an exam in half the allotted time, watch everyone else keep furiously working, and start questioning whether everyone else is dumb or whether you are and you missed something obvious. I get that feeling a lot when reading/thinking about religion.
Because that's the purpose of a posermobile, which the vast majority of pickup trucks are.
Hot take: It's no stupider than any other pickup truck, and at least it stands out. Don't get me wrong, it's fugly as hell, but that's still better than being indistinguishable from every other vehicle in its class.
I've heard stuff like this several times from different sources over the years, but I'm still not convinced it's not some elaborate collective prank. It reads like something written by Terry Pratchett or Douglas Adams.
The tragedy of the commons. When a resource that's owned by everyone and no-one is disappearing due to overuse, refraining from using it just leaves more to those who don't refrain. The incentive is to intensify its use to get the most out of it while there's still anything left to get. In other words there's no hope, so we might as well enjoy what time we have left.
Yup. It's incredibly convenient, I have no idea why people stopped using it. I follow a bunch of youtube channels, webcomics, podcasts, blogs, and apps in development. If there's some way other than RSS to have all those updates show up on a single page, I don't know it.
