It's gotta be a bug; I got it to work after casting it a bunch of times. Sometimes it works, most of the time it doesn't.
Darkvision is helpful while in combat and I have plenty of scrolls but I, the player looking at the screen, want to see things lit up better than the cone it provides.
I'm not even done with Act 1 and I have run into a ton of bugs that make me wonder if I did a sequence break or something, and other little niggling issues.
Still having a fun time, but boy do these things irk me.
You actually can just Examine an NPC and get a good idea of how hard a check will be, even if it's not the exact DC. Like if you're using speech against someone, knowing they have a higher Charisma and Wisdom bonus means it will be harder to persuade or deceive them (and strength for intimidation).
I would like to just not have the animation play, but I also like seeing the DC to know if I want to add bonuses that I only have limited uses of. I also like seeing the numerical result of the rolls somewhere. I got quite accustomed to that back with Bioware's Neverwinter Nights. Put them in the "combat log" (which logs everything not just combat for those who don't know) and Id be happy.
Having been save scumming quite hard, the Critical Failure and Critical Success means fuck all. It changes nothing so I'm not sure why they included them outside of combat. Unless it changes in the harder difficulty. I'm on the medium, default one.
Yes, of course. I have two daggers and a crossbow equipped. And if it would buff the lute used to cast, that's shown on my back so it should still work.
To be fair tho, Fallout's isn't exactly hidden. It does tell you how many days you have. But even then, you didn't expect it to actually mean something. Not in an RPG like that, anyway. Usually was reserved for action games purposed for the arcade.
Having not played 5e in PnP yet (my group is kinda scattered ๐ฎโ๐จ) I have to wonder if Performance is not tied to bardic inspiration or other bardic abilities that used to require performing a song to keep up, much like how casters use Concentration, or if it's simply BG3.
I don't know what to make of him either.
First he tries to kill me, now he's constantly hitting on me. Although, because I built my dude specifically for dialogue, I have had insight checks that tell me he's faking his flattery. So I don't trust him at all. But I am not sure if that is something everyone will encounter or just if you have the right stats to succeed the passive checks.
Edit: Ok well I now know why he was creepy. But he also said he wanted to fuck, just not me and now I'm mad.
