@Omniraptor
@lemm.eeI mean, we're seeing the same thing (sans the communist orgs) play out in real time across Europe now. In Britain, labor purges Jeremy corbyn and his ilk, then gets elected with a solid mandate, then promises to gut the NHS and promotes transphobic policies (for no material benefit) in the name of coalition building anyway.
What distinguishes these "bipartisan" labourists and their american equivalents from the Tories except different colored hats? Would you also blame corbyn for running against these people?
I thought Americans (at least the ones who watch MSNBC) all agreed he voted in the 2016 election
To be fair it's not a mysterious "they", it's just an option available for channel owners to set alternative thumbnails and then check which does better. I don't think YouTube does this by itself if the uploader doesn't enable it
There's a long tail of servers/bartenders who are against this as well because they work at expensive establishments and make bank off tips. Like high double digits an hour.
If the push to convert tips into wages ever becomes serious, conservative media will do its best to platform and promote these servers who stand to lose income off it. We gotta think of a rhetoric/messaging strategy to counter that.
I thought for a sec the video might be fake because it's of awful quality and not covered by any western news sites (that I could find) and just too on the nose. But it's from Graham's own twitter so https://x.com/LindseyGrahamSC/status/1832160396846776710
Well at least we made the shareholders of some military contractors richer that's gotta count for something
Yeah I think the admins of hexbear like sunaurus (owner of .ee) which has let us stay federated despite the general population of .ee being hostile. At least now it's easier for users to block instances individually
I'm kind of a lib temperamentally and hexbear's emoji heavy posting style grates on my nerves with too high exposure, but I do try to debunk the flat out lies people say spout on .world and such
