@lemmy.worldThe reason is simple. Misinformation sticks with conservatives more than liberals. With liberals, someone posts evidence that the story isn't true and the whole thing fizzles out. If someone tries posting counter evidence in a conservative forum, they get banned.
There's no money in trying to push misinformation to liberals.
Good people do to too. Ruth Bader Ginsberg clung to office and died two months too early.
We acknowledge that the way we divide ethnic genetic variety into different races is a social construct, entirely invented by humans. But denying that race exists at all does no favors to the victims of racism.
I'm sorry, no. There are so many problems with Kant's categorical imperative. It comes from a tradition of trying to impose simplistic rules onto an inherently complex and messy subject. The Categorical Imperative would just cause misery if it were applied universally, which defeats the whole purpose of morality.
Morality isn't about rules or dictating what people can't do. It's about promoting well-being.
I'm one of the people who was ragging on the idea and I was absolutely fucking right.
And yes, I'm ragging on the idea of the musical episode, too.
