I have a soft spot for Suriname's.
Anything that's too busy and difficult to parse at a distance is bad.
aside from his mandarin, basically every one of his videos where he 'speaks fluently' in one of a hundred other languages involves him basically stammering repeatedly while trying to get out a simple phrase, as though the elongated time it takes him to say
'I-I-I-I've b-b-b-been l-l-learn-ning f-f-f-f-for t-t-two w-w-eeks' counts as a lengthy, fluent phrase
there is a genuine complaint in there being a lack of 'evil' content, like if you side with the refugees in act 1 you get to see them subsequently throughout the game along with their side quests, whereas if you go the evil route and off them, there's no 'alternate content' like seeing more goblin characters or something to replace them. as early as act 2 the option of good/evil kind of breaks down when the main quest is so linear as to just be 'kill this particular guy, no he can't be reasoned with, sided with, talked down, or result in any kind of outcome that doesn't involve a boss fight and his death'. further, pretty much every side quest in the game revolves around 'person needs help, so you help them'. if you're playing evil, very often the only evil option is to not do the quest, arbitrarily kill the person, or do the quest and then be demanding about payment after the fact.
none of this to say that the game needs to be more racist of course
it's a bit like McDonalds rebranding the Big Mac as the Double Burger with Bread in the Middle
violent/aggressive discourse? i thought sticks and stones could break your bones but words could never harm you
That 'closest living relative' joke got a good laugh out of me.
I think people are too harsh on TOW's politics - if you were expecting an honest to god piece of revolutionary communist fiction, please invite me to whatever version of reality you inhabit.
At least it included some form of political radicals with good morals and nuanced issues rather than just portraying them as naïve misguided fools or mass murderers. Hell, it even has

I don't think it's in their capacity to acknowledge that they can be outlefted. If you're fully sold on the democrat-republican dichotomy, then there's no room for left critique - you must be a republican.
Every single time, without fail, they assume, as though more certain than they are of their own existence, that the person raising the (valid) point is a republican. Despite the blatantly transparent fact that the statement in question never invokes 'the libs', 'triggered', 'maga', or tags all of the alphabet security agencies, they always fucking rattrap themselves into thinking that anything other than facile patronisation is tantamount to fully supporting whatever it is they're chastising.
How do they see something like "consequences of capitalism" and still think "Hurr, durr, REPUBLICAN! NEXT!"?
