@Chespirito
@lemmy.worldI’m a little confused by your reply? I’m not saying all republicans are bad, I’m strictly talking about maga republicans. They refuse to acknowledge facts and label them as fake news the minute it conflicts with their world view. I’ve tried having discussions with maga on Reddit and it would always dissolve into “that’s fake news! They’re trying to paint Trump in a bad light!”. The last one I talked to was u/illidari_extremist (he’s also a raging racist who blames black people for his life) and when I presented him with video evidence of Trump saying he would date a 10 year old in 10 years he ended up calling it a fake video and blocked me.
You can try to talk to them but I’m done. I’d rather put my time and effort into talking with people who are not in a cult or have a cult mentality.
Sadly the maga ones are incapable of self reflection. They’ll just say that the “fake news” is lying about him because the democrats control the media and every other facet of their lives
Thank you for information! I’m happy to have joined this community. For the most part there’s actual discussions here and not just meme answers at the top of every post
Thank you! And I like the interactions I’ve had so far. It’s just that I’m a huge NBA fan and that’s where I spent most of my time on Reddit. The nba Lemmy community isn’t very big yet but I’m trying to change that by being more active here. I really enjoy this and it feels like actual discussions can be had here unlike on Reddit.
I’ve switched to using this as well but it has very little user interaction. I hope it grows and is able to compete with Reddit one day. It would be nice to be able to go to a basketball or political subreddit (what do we call them here?) and actually be able to have a nice conversation.
Congratulations to him! This also means that teams might finally start making trades now that the main guy available is off the table.
Either teams just weren’t all that interested to where they wanted to fit their teams or he really likes Utah and wants to grow with them. Overall I think he fits Utah’s timeline so I like the deal for him to stay.
He deserves to do to what he wants. He’s giving us fans more than we ever could have wished. I hope he stays on TV in some way but I will respect his decision regardless of what he chooses to do.
