@BynarsAreOk
@hexbear.netHonestly I rarely read him and I only did so because of the usual word of mouth association the current "geopolitics" little circle(Mercouris/Nakedcapitalism etc), he is good /ok at that. Maybe he said something about Marxism in the past, but he is definitely right wing. This is just typing woke on their search bar.
He may promise to shift from Ukraine to China, to escalate another trade war and more. I don`t know which one the CPC prefers but certainly Trump is even more likely to do something stupid in Taiwan specially if they pitch it to him like an opportunity to surpass Biden.
He may be better on Ukraine but he is same or worse everywhere else. Everything points towards China now so if he realizes he can trade Ukraine with his own war against China he will get broad support from everyone except the few aligned with the tech megacorps and he is just as likely to win.
Putin was willing to negotiate before the war, but the CPC can only continue to compromise up to a certain point.
Nah, the Ukrainians were obscessed with captuing the ZNPP exactly because they thought this would be a secure energy source the Russians wouldn't dare fighting over. The Russian warnings of a dirty bomb were always within this context. The Russians were mostly afraid Ukraine would sabotage the plant and claim the Russians did it.
Besides there is further context, like when the Ukro nazi atrocities were still being uncovered, the Bucha shit, the Mariupol "sacrifice" etc. Ukrainian strategy was to rally support by blaming Russia for these while feeding this to their own nazis as a morale boost. It is still their tactic e.g their SAMs fail and hit their own civilian buildings = "oh no ebil Russian orcs killing our innocent people!" while simultaneously claiming to shoot down 50/50 Russian missiles every time lol.
The US was not particularly involved in any of this IIRC.
The best thing about shield hero is how it went from "based" to now where calling it trash is just the room temperate take over at r/anime lol.
As if Ukrainians aren't getting butchered right now, also they realy don't give a shit about do they, something something history began in 2016 lol.
Boris R. one of the prominient Rus mil telegram channels(one of the group that met Putin last year) Their take google translated. #4 is the most important point I suspected since this has been a long recurring talking point from Mercouris and usuals.
Regarding Putin's proposals.
- They obviously will not be accepted by the West and their Ukrainian puppets, since they document Russia’s fulfillment of the stated goals of the Northeast Military District and the strategic defeat of the United States.
- Against the background of the “peace summit,” this will indicate that in fact it is the West that is prolonging the war, so these statements are another “torpedo” to the “peace summit.”
- Russia is thereby showing the countries of the Global South that it offered peace, which will be rejected by those who talk about “peace summits.”
- The basis is laid in advance for claims on other regions of the former Ukraine, in the event of refusal of these conditions, shifting responsibility for this to the West and Ukraine. Just like Kherson and Zaporozhye appeared in Russia’s demands after the abandonment of Istanbul, although they were not contained in the original purposes of the North Military District. Each subsequent proposal will be worse, not better, for Ukraine.
- The war will continue. The goals of the Northern Military District will be achieved through military means.
I think this is just about setting the legal precedent, make sure that there are official negotiations more recent than April '22. This refusal will certainly be referenced in the future when they will make further demands using this as a justification i.e you had the chance, you refused and caused even more harm, therefore we are in our right to demand further compensation.
There are also other factors to consider, the situation for Ukrainian civilians is getting worse, electricity is almost completely out and it is going to get much worse. Putting an official record that Russia is willing to end the war now is certainly going to affect a significant part of the population.
Obviously its not like stupid democracy shit is real at all, they're not going to protest their way into a peace deal with Russia, but this can lead to civil unrest which means even less manpower which just ultimately means Russia continues to steamroll.
The lives of thousands of Russian convicts have been expended in so-called “meat grinder” assaults, particularly in the fighting for the eastern Ukrainian city of Bakhmut.
No way are they actually suggesting the term was used to describe the Russian assault and not the Ukrainian useless defense and countless reinforcements over 3 months? Particularly stupid since it was the Russians that coined it not the Ukrainians? Absolutely hilarious but expected, a lib that usual 99% of the time only reads headlines and somehow manages to get to this part will find no problem with this statement lol.
The US doesn’t lose access to Chinese goods, they simply get to the US through a longer route via third party countries.
This was what everyone thought would happen to Russia if the US and EU sanction them, but in the end Western goods still end up in Russia.
Yeah this is definitely true for US imports from China but I would bet the reverse wont be true for American exports to China when it is now able to manufacture their own competitive alternatives.
I always thought and I still believe part of the US caution towards China is the fact big tech still have a significant share of their profits in China, for Apple it is like 20% of their entire bottom line is from China. This share can't be recovered anywhere else since overall global poverty is increasing. Even if Marx wasn't correct about the falling rate of profit, US tech megacorps can't afford to lose access to the CN market.
It is all happening as we watch, Huawei sales are growing massively while Apple is stagnating. How many Pelosis are heavily invested in Apple stocks right now? Which is why this is among other reasons they are attempting to isolate China from chip production and create a permanent dependency.
