I used to have Snapchat and Instagram downloaded on my phone and the amount of pointless notifications I got from those was staggering. I can only imagine what it would be like if you have more social media on top of that. Same with Uber eats, they CONSTANTLY send notifications. I got so sick of checking my phone so often that I turned off all notifications, then deleted apps, then put my phone on 24 hour do not disturb + grayscale everything. It's kinda hard to break the constant phone check cycle, but it's changing!
Listen. I just don't like that they replaced glass with TV screens that show what's behind
I switched the day after Boost went dark. The only times I go on Reddit are when I Google something and a reddit link comes up. Lemme definitely isn't a 1:1, but I kinda like it more because the user base seems better quality. I've made more posts/comments in my few months on Lemmy than I did in my few years on Reddit.
I think "the line" you're talking about is all in the delivery of the joke. Poor delivery could make a relatively tame dark joke really bad, and great delivery could make a heinous joke the talk of the night.
Click "Slice Plate", then click "Print Plate". A pop up will appear where it shows your model, print time, and filament cost. That's where you select what slot in the ams you want to use for the print.
If you're talking about multi color printing, that's set up elsewhere. I forgot exactly as I don't have it right in front of me at the moment.
Hope that helps!
X1 Carbon owner here. I've had absolutely zero issues with my printer and was not affected by the their recent fumble. I've had mine for over 6 months but under a year, & print most days out of the week. I love open source shit, but honestly, in my experience, if you want a set it and forget it, fantastic build quality & speed printer I'd recommend the X1 Carbon in a heartbeat. I've heard their slicer is a rip of Cura, I don't know much about that though, but it's worked very well for me. All's I'm saying is that not everyone is having a bad experience with them, but I also can't see the future. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I'd recommend a Bambu printer. Cost to benefit is pretty good, and they're very easy to use. Someone touched on their recent misfortune with the cloudstorage thing, which is a fair criticism, but I don't think it should ice you out from them. I've had X1 Carbon, with AMS, for a while now and it has been nothing but an absolute breeze for me to use. Also to note, my printer wasn't affected at all by their recent issue. I switch my printer off which I think may have removed me from the situation.
