Tip to any new users:

If you're on mastodon.social, do yourself a favor and don't get "comfy".

Use mastodon.social as a sort of Fediverse tutorial.

Research other instances, software other than mastodon, and maybe think about if any of those other options would suit you.

Just because mastodon.social is the biggest instance, doesn't it make it good for everyone.

@BeAware@social.beaware.live absolutely true, it's like the big loading area for all the players before they get into the actual game. Being on mastodon.social is like being in the starter noob clothing.

Search around, note instances that have fun people you see already on them, and in no time you'll eventually find your home on some weird fun instance called something like disco.buttplug or radioactive.horse
