What an interesting story! I was surprised and sad to learn that most transplants cannot go ahead if the donor doesn't stop breathing in time.
I wonder if assisted death could be possible for donors who agree? I would re-sign every year confirming that if I am brain dead, I would rather be assisted to die, thus assuring my organs have use going forward.
