I just noticed Lemmy doesn't support uploading videos, and I knew Redgifs only allows videos up to 1 minute of duration.

However, most of my videos are 2 to 5 minutes long, the cuts are already optimal, and I won't divide these in multiple parts.

So where else can I upload these ?

Is there a reason some communities from federated instances are not available here? For example, !aigen@lemmynsfw.com cannot be found, but is visible from another instance.

Can individual communities on another instance by blocked and if so, is it possible which communities are?

Hi, currently I am using Jerboa and unfortunately I can not see any redgifs. I am just redirected to redgifs website. I think back when infinity was still working, I was able to look at most of the content in-app. Has anyone a recommendation or a solution for my problem? I don't want to use redgifs website directly. Hello there, I have a question regarding MP4s hosted on pornlemmy, I can never seem to load them, what’s up with that? They just give me a black screen whenever I visit from pornlemmy’s website, on my Memmy client or through my home server’s own UI, even when I go to the link directly.

Hi peeps, if you're in Europe you might have noticed we had a small outage today. If you're in Europe, you might also have noted that it's hot outside. The PornLemmy team squeezes the servers running the site between a shit ton of other servers that do sciency stuff, but they're not critical enough to merit a nuclear fallout end of the world datacenter. Therefore, we get a regular run of the mill datacenter, which was not built with the tolerances this Cerberus heatwave is bringing down on us (and we're in the worst affected part of Europe).

So, because of the red temperature alert, hardware parts have started to degrade. We managed to do a database dump and move the whole deployment to another cluster without losing much data (about 10-15 minutes worth), but things are not looking good for the near future, as we have the red temperature alert predicted for every day this week and next week. Fun times ahead. Help us buy a desk fan?
